Building Connections

Hudson Valley Trailworks is a worker-owned cooperative of friends and family who create trails that connect communities in and around the Hudson Valley, NY.

Through our shared love of the outdoors and our dedication to high quality work, we seek to nourish the connection between people and nature with fun spaces to hike, bike, play, and relax.

We collaboratively work with individuals and organizations to develop and maintain environmentally-friendly and sustainable projects of all sizes on private and public lands.

Meet the team…

Clint Reynolds

Clint likes building stuff. His specialty is building stuff to ride. He has stacked dirt jumps and carved transitions professionally for countless municipal projects and world class events including those for X Games and RedBull. As a sponsored rider for S&M Bikes, Relic and Empire BMX Clint has had the good fortune to ride and film at trails and cement parks all across the globe. In 2016 he brought home the NORA cup for Best Dirt Rider of the Year, an award hosted by Ride Magazine and voted on by his peers. Clint moved to Gardiner in 2017 and has been exploring what this dirt has to offer ever since. From BMX, to mountain bikes, to rail trail rides with his wife and kids, Clint’s passion for trails and bike riding has only grown. His mission is to create more opportunity for kids (and adults) to go outside, get on a bike and have fun!

Toni Benevento

Toni is here to help! From organizing a mobile office to swinging a pickaxe, she’s up for the job. Toni has experience working in rural/resort-town planning, nonprofits, education and at one point she thought she was going to work in libraries for the rest of her life. Just like the best trails, her career has taken many twists and turns and she’s thrilled to be able to bring her passion for the outdoors and her varied skill set to every project here at Hudson Valley Trail Works. When she’s not working you can find her in the garden, on a yoga mat, or lost either in a good book or in the woods somewhere.

Mike Benevento

Mike Benevento loves being outside. When he is not out on a trail, he is spending time at home with his family or in the Earth Modern furniture shop. He is passionate about how trails connect people, families, friends and communities. He sees the networks of trails we build as a physical representation of our interconnectedness. His passion for building good trails comes from the joy of seeing a community come together around a trail. Whether its a hiking path, bike trail or pump track, he thinks watching a group of people connect around the shared enjoyment is a beautiful thing.

Eric Hennessey

Eric has spent the last 20 years of his life traveling around the world with his bike, riding with friends and enjoying the view. Carving out a home base in Gardiner, NY has gifted him the time to get to know the area and all the amazing outdoor opportunities found right here in the Hudson Valley. What he’s most excited about now is creating more ways to get more people enjoying the world right outside their doors (and screens). Some kids never grow up. Eric wants to make trails for those kids and their kids too.
